Addressing Brown Discoloration During Acrylic Nail Backfills

Question
Hello Liza

I would be grateful if you could advise me, when i do back fills on many occassions now there seems to be brown once I have covered the nail with pink acrylic and you can see the line where the old acrylic and the new acyrlic as much as I file to take away as much of the old acrylic as possible, but there is also brown, I wondered if it was bacteria feces but that wouldnt occur immediately when I am filing the acrylic down?

I shall look forward to your reply.

Kind Regards

Catharine

Answer
hi catherine
apologies for my late reply, i have been away since last tues.
this sounds to me like your brush is contaminated. maybe your liquid also.
get a new brush and start a fresh bottle of liquid (a small one will do to start off with) and try them together.
if the brown stain doesn't happen, it is most likely to have been your brush.
Never leave your brush in a pot, store it laying flat in a brush case or wrapped in clean tissue. also, make sure you store your brush dry, ie dont leave excess liquid in your brush.

if this doest help, get back to me and we will try something else.
there isnt any way to clean your brush, once it is contaminated, you will have to throw it away:(

best wishes
Liza
