Determine Your Skintone: A Guide for Light Skin & Cool Undertones

Hi, I need help to determine my skintone please. I have light brown hair and green eyes. I have very pale skin+my hair is highlighted blonde which suits me better than dark as dark makes me look wased out.I have recently had a light ash toner applied to my hair which looks quite grey+it has made my skin look yellow. My hairdresser seemed to think I was cool toned, hence the ash. I have blue viens which also suggests Im cool toned, but the ash makes me look ill. gold+silver suit me also. please can you help?

It is very difficult to determine someones skin tone without seeing them in person. I am a cool and when I tried to do ash in my hair one time it looked horrible and made me look sick.  From what you say, it does sound like you are a cool.  If you look bad in oranges and yellows over-all but great in cool blues and greens you probably are.  A realy good way to tell is called the lipstick test.  Go buy two cheap red-colored lipsticks.  One a really orangy red and the other a very blue red.  Put one on half of your lips (right or left) and the other on the other half.  Then, take a piece of white paper and go to the mirror.  cover half your face first and then the other.  If you are a cool the side with the blue red will bring your face up, make you look healthy, and compliment your features.  If you aren't then it will pull your face down and make you look ill.  Same for the orange-red color.
