Twice as nice!
Eye makeup has come back with a bang. It rocked the last decade and is all set to rock the coming ones too. Earlier, tailed eye look was only meant for retro look, but not anymore. You see winged eyes almost everywhere. As a matter of fact, double tailed eye look is much more in vogue these days. If you ask why, I would simply say because it is twice as nice!
But it is one thing to admire a look and another to sport it correctly. So we decided to take you through a simple double tailed eyeliner tutorial today. Don’t worry; you need not be a pro at wearing makeup to try this one. Even a beginner can sport it easily.
1. First things first, cleanse and prime your eyelids well. This step is a must for any kind of makeup. Now, if you wish, use a kajal on your waterline. Make sure you use a primer which goes well with your skin colour. Blend it evenly and well to avoid any ashy caste around the eyes.
2. Now select any shade of eye shadow and wash your eyelids with that shade. Double tailed look tends to make eyes look smaller. So using a shimmery shade is advisable for a fuller bright eye look. I have used Faces Glam on Eyeshadow Sunglow in the above picture. But if you are naturally blessed with big eyes, you may opt for a darker shade to get a deep intense look.
3. Now its time to select the second shade. I have chosen one of the shades from Faces Eyeshadow Duo. It’s a mild pink shade with shimmer and soft texture. I tried concentrating the shade closer to the outer corner, covering the eyelids.
4. After applying the second shade, use your eyeshadow brush and give gentle strokes to blend both the shades well together.
5. After blending shades, outline using eyeliner starting from the upper-middle lash line. Extend the line to the outer corner of your eyes to make a tail (length depends on your wish). Make it little longer than your eye to achieve that perfect tail.
6. Now fill in your upper lash line using a liner. With the help of the outline, use liquid eyeliner to fill inside, leaving no bare skin to show.
7. Now start lining and filling in the same way from the inner corner to the middle lash line and join both to get a perfect upper tail.
8. Once the upper tail is done, outline the lower lash line using your eyeliner. Start closer to the lower lash line end and move towards the outer corner.
9. Now join both these tails by filling liner from the upper lash line end to the lower tail end. Fill the lower tail in the same way as you filled the upper one.
10. Always remember, your lower tail should be little thinner than the upper tail. You can either make both tails similar in length or make the lower one shorter for a cuter look.
That’s it and you are ready to sport your double tailed eye look. The picture below shows the final look.
