QuestionI learned using acetylene gas and am looking to have my own space in the garage at home.
I found a local supplier and found that they have many options. I am wondering what is a good tanks size to start out with...and what exactly cga is.
Thanks!
AnswerHello Katie,
Apologies for the delay.
Simply put, get the smallest tanks. You may decide that you don't wish to continue, also they are much easier to move around and handle.
Well this is based upon my knowledge in Australia.
I would use D size see https://boc.com.au/boc_sp/au/resources/gas_literature.asp?nav=2
CGA also seems to be an American term - it means nothing to me. Sorry. It could be just the start code of a bunch of laws/directives in place by the 'Compressed Gas Association'
Talk to your local supplier.
Good Luck, P
