Trifari Necklace History & Value: Identifying Your Vintage Piece
QuestionI was given a Trifari necklace by a friends grandmother, and although I am not interested in selling I would like to know its history. It is a siver butterfly that is about 4 inches wide and 3 or 4 inches long. The "chain" is a solid siver piece with a hook-like connector. If you could help me even begin I would greatly appreciate it.
AnswerHello Paula - Trifari is/was one of the oldest and finest costume jewelry companies in the United States. Their jewelry ranged from the whimsical to the most elegant pieces - some in sterling. Their designers were the best.
I've included a couple of links below that have extensive information on Trifari, their marks and designs. Maybe you can find yours listed there ! Hope this helps. Sounds like a lovely piece ! Just click on each link below or copy and paste it into your browser address field and hit enter.
