Identifying Jewelry Maker Marks: Understanding 'DK' and 14K

Question
I have a ring that I have been told is a mine cut. There are 2 inscriptions on the inside of the band.  I know the one is marked 14K. The other has two initials DK. Can you help identify this marking? Thank You

Answer
Hi Nancy,
Thank You for writing.
The DK is the initials of the maker or makers mark of the piece. There are marks for every jewelry maker.
Unfortunately, There are hundreds of companies with the makers mark DK.
This mark alone wont give us enough information.
If the diamonds are European cut you can almost bet they were cut before the 1940's
I'm Sorry I cant give you more information.
Sincerely,
