Identifying Your Vintage Silver Bowl: Shreve, Crump & Low Markings

hi , i have a vintage silver bowl that was passed down from my grandmother that was originally bought at shreve crump and low in boston and my question is that i was told it was sterling silver but it is not marked sterling but it does have a shield inside the bowl two lions holding the sheild above the shield is a hand holding a medevil axe inside the sheid is divided into 4 sections top left is i think the top of a pike , top right is a horse raised up , lower left is something im not quite sure what it is it almost looks like a hot air balloon but its not itsa something a cant identify and the lower right is also i cant identify its a v shape marking with a small version of the lower left described ballon shape sitting inside the v shape , anyway i was told that this sheild and logos inside the sheild are the silver marks is this true , thank you for any info you can give       best regards    bob from boston
