Wearing Platinum and Palladium Together: Is It Okay?

Hello,

I have a platinum engagement ring with three stone diamond setting.  I am currently on the look out for my wedding band and have seen a number of rings in palladium that I like.  I was wondering whether it is possible to wear platinum and palladium together?  I understand you cannot wear gold and platinum together because as platinum is harder it will wear away the gold but I understand palladium and platinum are fairly similar so would like to know if this is possible?

Hi Lauren, You surely can wear Platinum and gold together. Platinum is a more dense metal and will last longer than gold. Palladium is similar to Platinum since it is derived from Platinum and much, much harder. palladium however will not increase in value over time like Platinum which is the superior of all jewelry materials.
