I have in my possession many pieces of gemstone jewelry that were appraised for insurance replacement value bu Underwriter Services Gemological Laboratory (U.S.G.L.)
Are you familiar with this company? Are they reputable? Are their evaluations accurate?

I HAVE HAD NO DIRECT EXPERIENCE WITH U.S.G.L. APPRAISALS. THERE ARE MANY "LABS" THAT DO GEM AND JEWELRY APPRAISALS SO THE EXPERTISE FALLS ON THE GMOLOGIST WHO DOES THE APPRAISAL. SINCE THERE IS NO GEMOLOGIST SIGNATURE ON THE FRONT OF THE CARD I CANNOT VOUCH FOR AN APPRAISAL LIKE THIS ONE. I WOULD AT LEAST NEED TO SEE THE REVERSE SIDE OF THE CARD.
