hi im 25age my last period was on 3rd-4th july09 i was expected my next on 3rd-4th august 09 but haven't got yet. we use condoms.....every time...i took a home preg test this morning n it says neg......should i be carefree?????????

i really don't want it now and also tel me what can i do to regulate my periods n not to stress my self by testing myself every month for pregnancy ..........

ANSWER: Even condoms are not 100%, so I can't tell you that you are not pregnant, but a negative pregnancy test is usually a good indication, especially if you are 10 past your period. If you were pregnant it would definitely indicate it by now.
My recommendation is to learn Natural Family Planning so you know when your fertile times during the month are and avoid sex during that time (or use your not 100% effective condoms, your choice.)
NFP helps you understand the signs and symptoms your body is using to tell you what your fertility is doing. The messages are very clear once you learn to recognize them. You can either learn from a book or take a class. The advantage to knowing NFP is that you as a woman are empowered about your body, your health and your fertility and you will KNOW beyond a doubt if you could get pregnant or not and when. Totally awesome!

You can regulate your periods by taking care of your health, eating right, finding out about vitamin deficiencies you might have, getting enough sleep, etc. You shouldn't have to stress every month about your period. If you do NFP, you will know when it is going to start even if it's late. You won't be worried that you are pregnant if you are just having a late period. Trust me. It's true - you can know this if you learn NFP. Check it out.

AnswerAny condom can break, but the general problem is that often they aren't in place early enough in the sexual experience and even a tiny bit of semen can contain enough sperm if the egg is there waiting! That's why it is so important to know when you are fertile so you can avoid intercourse or take extreme precautions. IF you really really don't want to get pregnant. But I hear unprotected sex is the best!! Another reason to know exactly when you are fertile so you can have unprotected sex when the protection isn't necessary. Besides saving money on the condoms that you don't need when you aren't fertile.
