Gynotran Ovules: Proper Application & Usage Guide

Gynotran Ovules are applied vaginally. Here's a breakdown of the application process, but always follow the specific instructions provided by your doctor and the package insert:

1. Wash your hands: Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water before handling the ovule.

2. Remove the ovule from the packaging: Carefully remove one ovule from its blister pack.

3. Position yourself: The best position for insertion is lying on your back with your knees bent. You can also stand with one foot slightly elevated on a chair or toilet.

4. Insert the ovule: Gently insert the ovule deep into the vagina using your finger. Some ovules come with an applicator to help with insertion. If using an applicator, follow the instructions provided with the applicator.

5. Wash your hands again: Wash your hands thoroughly after inserting the ovule.

Important Considerations:

* Timing: It's generally recommended to insert the ovule at bedtime to allow it to remain in place for as long as possible.

* Menstruation: It is usually recommended to not use Gynotran during menstruation. Consult your doctor for guidance.

* Leakage: Some leakage is normal after inserting the ovule. You may want to wear a panty liner to protect your clothing.

* Consistency: Use the ovules consistently for the prescribed duration, even if your symptoms improve.

* Partner notification: Depending on the infection being treated, your sexual partner may also need treatment to prevent reinfection. Consult your doctor.

If you have any questions or concerns about how to use Gynotran Ovules, contact your doctor or pharmacist for clarification. Do not hesitate to ask for guidance.
