Understanding Unusual Urine Bleeding in Women: Potential Causes & Next Steps

Question
i know you are a obgyn but like before you have helped me with other things and hopefully you can help me or tell me where i can go to get advice. my mom has ms she also has blood in her urine and has had tests done that came back normal. but she has had kidney infections and bleeding like a period but she has no female parts. the tests where a year ago and yet they have found blood in her urine again. do you know what could be wrong or if it could be in another organ? hopefully you can help me if not i understand. thanks, shara.

Answer
If you mean that your mom had a hysterectomy when you say that she has no female parts, then it is not possible that the bleeding is coming from the uterus. If she is seeing blood in her urine, she must consult a urologist and have her bladder checked out with a cystoscopy. It could be coming from her kidneys or from something in her bladder. It could be something as simple as a urinary tract infection, or it could be something more serious.
