WELL EVEN IF MY PERIOD DOESN'T START I CAN STILL BECOME PREGNANT?
Question -
I AM NOT PREGNANT BUT WANT TO BECOME PREGNANT. I HAVE NO CHILDREN AND THE FIRST DAY OF MY LAST CYCLE WAS ON DECEMBER 31, 2003. I DID WRITE BEFORE BUT I FORGOT TO ASK YOU IF IT IS OKAY TO TAKE PRENATAL PILLS. I DID ALREADY START TAKING THEM. I AM THE ONE WHO WAS DIAGNOSED WITH TWO UTERI, TWO CERVIXES, A VAGINAL SEPTUM, AND A FUNCTIONAL CYST ON MY LEFT OVARY.I HAVE HAD A LOWER PAIN/ACHE THAT IS BY WHERE MY OVARY IS LOCATED. I DO SPOT OCCASIONALLY BUT IT ONLY LASTS FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS. IS TAKING PRENATAL PILLS A GOOD IDEA?
Answer -
It can never hurt to take prenatal vitamins, even before you become pregnant. Just continue having intercourse at the correct time of the month (around cycle day #14) and eventually you will conceive. Do not give up hope. The doubler uterus and the septum should not prevent you from becoming pregnant. Good Luck.
AnswerIt is conceivable that you can still ovulate in the absence of having your period. It is uncommon, but conceivable. YOu may wish to purchase an ovulation predictor kit from the pharmacy and test your urine to see if you can pinpoint the day of ovulation. Normally, we usually want to see regular periods so we can predict when ovulation occurs.
