back in March I had protected sex *condom* (AND he pulled out before he came) and for whatever reason, I got realy scared that I was somehow pregnant. however rare that is, I was really freaked out and I started imagining symptoms in my head. then, my period came (pretty much normal) and everything seemed ok. a few days later, I took 2 home pregnancy tests- negative.
about a month later *around May25-26th* (after swearing off sex until I'm married), my boyfriend and I were just messing around.. I'm almost POSITIVE nothing went wrong here. But some of the sum dripped on my leg and after a while it got me thinking- what if it dripped IN me and I just didn't notice it? Could I be pregnant? and my brain went into over drive. Turns out 6 days later, I had mid cycle bleeding... I was SO scared it was implantation bleeding or something.. it was HEAVY and was accompanied by normal cramps. I went to the ER (it was late at night) and they did a blood test (negative), but I didnt tell them about the "messing around" incident and I dont know if a blood test can register a positive result 6 days after the incident. This mid cycle bleeding was heavy and longer than my normal period with a brownish spotting afterwards that was different from anything I've had before.
Well, after that I took 2 more HPTs a week apart from eachother - both negative. I went to the gynecologist on May 26th where they gave me a urine pregnancy test - negative . They also gave me birth control pills (ortho tri-cyclen lo) to take in order to regulate my cycle. I was supposed to take them the Sunday after my period came.. and it came in acordance with the mid cycle bleeding (which the doctor said was normal) on June 2nd. It was pretty normal as well.. maybe not AS heavy as it normally is, but still heavy. I took an HPT last Wendnesday night (the day i got the period) and it was negative. I took another Sunday morning, first thing- negative.
So I took the first birth control pill on Sunday.. I've been taking them for 4 days. I had diarrhea this evening and some mild back pain (which could be normal for me- i have scoliosis and my back hurts all the time) and some cramping (like menstrual- i jsut ended my period). I dont have ANY pregnancy symptoms but I keep feeling like my stomach is HUGE even though I know its not. I feel like its bulging out.. but it isnt.
The "messing around incident" happened about 6 weeks ago... we didn't have intercourse, I'm just scared some of it dripped in me (even though I am fairly SURE it didnt and he is POSITIVE it didnt), 4 home pregnancy tests later and one taken at the gyno's office (urine test) and ALL back NEGATIVE ... I have no symptoms of pregnancy at all, I've been on the pill for 4 days. Do you think it's posible that I am pregnant with all of these tying together? I doubt I am. I think I'mjust being neurotic. But since I saw your post, I decided to see what you think... For some reason I cant get it out of my head. Realistically, I know I'm not.. but I worry SO MUCH about everything.. and I need some reassurance.. (even if its not reassuring, I need the truth). I know the odds are against it and I'm probably sounding really stupid.. but thanks for reading.
I thinkmy head is out of wack because a friend of mine recently got pregnant and thats had me worried ever since...

You are not pregnant. You cannot be pregnant since you did get your period on June 2 and have not ovulated yet. If you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. YOu can ONLY become pregnant if you have unprotected sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16. You cannot become pregnant on any other day in the month. If you do become pregnant around the time of ovulation (one of the days I mentioned) a pregnancy test will not show a positive result until 14-21 days later. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after you miss a period. If you get your period, you cannot be pregnant because a "period" is merely the sloughing off of the lining of your uterus (endometrium), which is where the baby would implant. If you get your period, it means that there is no place for the baby to implant. You have to stop taking pregnancy tests as you do. You cannot become pregnant until you ovulate and a pregnancy test will not be positive until two weeks after you suspect you became pregnant. One more thing... There are 300,000 sperm at the tip of the penis PRIOR TO ejaculation and if he tries to withdraw his penis before he comes, these sperm can be "milked" into your vagina and you can become pregnant IF IT IS AT THE CORRECT TIME OF THE MONTH (cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16.). If he ejaculates on your thigh or leg, there is no problem unless your thigh or leg is wet, but it is very, very rare. Don't worry.
AnswerYou said that you were "messing around" on May 25-26, and that you had "mid cycle bleeding" 6 days later. Six days after May 25 would be May 30-31. YOu claim that you got your normal period on June 2 (only two days later). If you got your period you are not pregnant. If you had become pregnant when you were fooling around on May 25, a pregnancy test would not show a positive result until 14 days later, or around June 7. If a pregnancy test taken 6 weeks after the incident was negative, you are definitely not pregnant. YOu should not take a pregnancy test until at least 14 days from the time you suspect that you may (even remotely) have conceived. I don't know how to explain it to you any clearer. Don't worry. Just see if you get your next period (in July) on time and keep a record of your periods (as well as any bleeding that you may have mid cycle). Good luck.
