Pregnancy Leg Cramps: Causes, Relief & What to Expect
QuestionHi Jennifer,
I am 19 weeks pregnant. Iexcercise every day except Friday and weekends.
My problem is that most nights when I go to bed my left leg (usually left) becomes very jumpy for about 30 minutes. My husband has tried stretching it for me but it doesn't really help that much. Do you know any remedies or cures which may help me. I don't drink any caffinate drinks in the evening either.

AnswerBelieve it or not this is actually quite common. This happens when the cervix is being pressed on a certain nerve. There really isn't anything you can do other than stretching and keep it moving. You may even want to talk to your doctor about it just to be on the safe side. He may know of a way to stop it like a muscle relaxer or something.
