Early Pregnancy Signs After Tubal Reversal: What to Expect
QuestionI am 30 years old and I have 2 children. I have also recently had a tubal reversal which Dr. Curlin of West Jackson Clinic in TN, performed on 03/31/2004. The surgery was a success with the dye passing through the tubes and uterus with no problems. The tubes had been tied for 11 years. I had no problems getting pregnant with my children. My last menstrual cycle was on 06/21/2004, and I had a good amount of clear stretchy cervical mucus on 07/12/2004. I have been seeing some pink coloration on the tissue after using the restroom could this be a sign of pregnancy? I have also been a little sick on the stomach and have had a bad taste in my mouth. Could these also be signs or is it all to early?
AnswerIf your last period started on June 21, then you probably ovulated on July 4. If you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14 (July 4) and you could only have conceived if you had sex on July 3,4,5, or 6. (If you have a longer cycle, then you could have conceived later). If you did, indeed, conceive on July 4, and you had some staining now, it can be implantation bleeding which usually occurs 8 days after conception. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after you miss your next period. If you do not get a period take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure.
