Alcohol Consumption During Pregnancy: Risks and Effects

Hi Cheri,
I am a bit concerened as I found out I was pregnant when I was 5 months along and have drank a fair amount of alcohole. Can you please let me know what damage I may have done and what the effects os alcohole are to baby.

Hello Natasha- I am sorry to say that alcohol during pregnancy can have devestating results. They include facial deformities, mental retardation, heart defects and much more. There is nothing you can do about it now, and your baby may be lucky and not have any of these effects. Work very hard to feed your body only the best of food and hope for the best- Cheri.
