Understanding Early Pregnancy Bleeding & Due Date Estimates

Hello there. My wife Kimberly just recently found out that she is pregnant via E.P.T home pregnancy test. I am 28 and She is 34. She has one child from a previous marriage and I have zero. She did tell me that she had a menstrual period during the first week of August of 2004 and then she had a 2-day period that was very light and some clotts. Why did she have the 2-day period around the 17th of August. Does this make sense?

If she had her period around the first week of August, the two days of bleeding around August 17 was due to "mid cycle bleeding" or "ovulatory bleedint". This is often seen at the time of ovulation. If her last period started on August 3, then she is due to have her baby around May 10, 2005. Certainly, it can be two weeks before that or two weeks after that because I do not know the exact date of your wife's last period. Good Luck.
