or are we over reacting
AnswerYou will not feel any fetal movement until 22 weeks gestational age (from the first day of your last period). You should see the doctor for your first visit, now. Then, at each visit (monthly) the doctor will listen to the fetal heart and see if all is well with the baby. If you have reached 13 weeks already, it is unlikely that you will have a miscarriage. If you have heavy bleeding, call your doctor. There is no reason to suspect that the baby is not doing well, but if there is any doubt, call your doctor. The baby's heart should be beating at between 120-160 beats per minute, but you need a special instrument to hear it.
