When to Take a Pregnancy Test: A Guide for Irregular Cycles

Hi Jennifer,
I was around 4-5 days late with my normal period. I last had period around 23th Dec and usually I have very regular 28-29 day cycle. Hence I was planning to take a pregnancy test. But then I had my period today (28th Jan). I was feeling like vomiting and having headaches for last 2-3 days. I was with my boyfriend in the 2nd week of december and we had sexual intercourse (He used condoms most of the time). But there might be times with direct contact as well.
Could you suggest when should I again take the test given I had started my period today and it would last for 1-2 days. I plan to take the urine test.

Sometimes pregnancy doesnt show up on a test until a month or more after conception.  Try in a couple weeks to test.  Keep in mind some women do get their periods during their pregnancy so it is not unheard of.  I would recommend a FirstResponce or EPT test.
