QuestionI am 29, pregnant with my second child and my LMP was 12/2/04. I am RH negative, my husband is positive. I had the Bay-rho shots at 28 weeks and within 72 hours of birth as my daughter was positive. My questions is this, does it matter that it's been almost 4 years since my bay-rho injection? Will this pregnancy be o.k.?
AnswerDuring the last pregnancy, you recieved the Rh immune globulin at 28 weeks gestation, and again within 72 hours of delivery. That protected you from developing antibiodies against Rh+. During this current pregnancy, you will, again, receive the shot at 28 weeks and after delivery, which will then protect you again. If you miscarry, you will also receive the shot. Don't worry. This pregnancy will be fine.
