Transverse Baby at 31 Weeks: Understanding Abdominal Pain & Positioning
QuestionI am 31 weeks pregnant. My baby is still in a transverse position. Yesterday, and now today I have been having lower abdominal pain - but the pain is only there when my abdomen is touched. For example, when I bend over and my overalls rub my belly, or if I push gently on my lower abdomen. Is this just ligament pain? could she be finishing her turning process? She has not moved today as much as she normally would. But I have felt a little movement. And she still feels like she is in the transverse position. Are these issues normal? Or should it be cause for concern? - No other symptoms.
AnswerIt sounds to me as if it is just getting tender because your close to your due date. She could be turning and getting ready. This is a normal issue as I have had many questions regarding this. It could be a number of things though. Pinched nerve, baby turning, tenderness etc. But all of them normal. If the pain persist or gets worse you should get it checked out with your obgyn just to be on the safe side. Good Luck
