hi,
i am 34 years old with one 15 year old daughter. my last period began on may 8th. my problem is pain sometimes during sex. its more like cramp in certain positions. this happens quit often and is very annoying. this has been happening on and off for years. any help would be great! thanks

It is difficult for me to assess pain without examining you. If your uterus is tilted backwards (retroversion) you sometimes will have pain in your rectum during sex. If you have not lubricated enough (not enough foreplay) you can get pain upon insertion of the penis due to dryness and friction. Sometimes, pain can be caused by a small ovarian cyst or a fibroid. In any case, the only way to know what is going on is to get an appointment with your gynecologist and have an exam. Describe the pain and when it occurs and I'm sure that the doctor will find out what is going on.
