Imovane/Zopiclone and Pregnancy: Risks & Safety Concerns

This drug is used for the treatment of insomnia.  I think some people also call it "Zimovane".  Check out this link http://www.motherisk.org/updates/jan00.php3

Since Zopiclone is not available in the U.S. and is not referenced in the Physicain's Desk Reference (PDR) or Briggs: Drugs in Pregnancy and Lactation, or Coustan's Handbook for Prescribing Medications during Pregnancy, I cannot comment on the safety or danger of the medication. I'm sorry.
