QuestionI noticed a bump on my inner thigh last week before we went to the beach. The bump was always a weird purple color; today the bump hurt to touch and had a "head". I was looking at it and it popped. I let it drain; put some oinment on it and a bandaid. I had been using baby wipes to wipe my hands and went about my merry way.
However now my husband thinks it could have been a staph infection or MRSA and that I put our kids at risk.
How does a simple pimple go from pimple on my inner thigh to staph or MRSA?
What should I do - I feel like I've spread dangerous bacteria all over my house.
Answerthis could easily be an early staph infection..... if it isn't healing, then have your doctor put you on doxicycline or septra.
Don't worry.... these bacteria are all over our skin anyways..... if there is a family outbreak, it can be treated easily. everyone should be using a good anti-bacterial soap.
