I am just concerned. Thanks for your help.
AnswerWhenever you miss any pills, you may start spotting. This is due to a decrease in the amount of estrogen in your blood. It is also normal to start your period a few days earlier than expected or a few days later than expected. Remember that, when you are on the pill, the bleeding you get is not really your period but, rather, a "breakthrough" bleeding every month due to the stopping the active pills (pill #1-21) and starting the placebo pills (pill #22-28). If you miss a pill, take two the next day. If you miss two pills in a row, take two the next day and two the day after. If you miss three pills in a row, throw away the entire pack, wait for the following Sunday, and start a new pack. You will bleed shortly after stopping the pills.
