Persistent Fatigue, Headaches & Digestive Issues: Possible Causes & What to Do

Question
I have been really tired lately.  My back has been sore and i haveing been getting really freaquent headaches.  The last 2 months I feel like I am cramping all the time and feel like I am going to throw up.  I am also highly sensitive to smells and can barely prush my teeth without gagging. A co-worker told me I could be pregnant but this has been on going for 2 months and I have had a regular cycle of every 28 days execpt my last was 8 days early starting on Nov 29.  She said for her first she had what she thought was a period for 3 months before findidng out and her second for 2 months.  I took a home test yesterday during lunch.  It came back negative.  If I am not pregnant, then what is wrong with me?

Answer
If you have not missed your period, you are not pregnant, esp[ecially since the pregnancy test was negative. If your symptoms are nausea, back ache, and fatigue, you may be anemic. I would suggest that you go to your regular doctor and get some blood work (CBC) to see if you need supplemental iron. There are many viral illnesses that can cause sensitivity to smells and nausea. Perhaps you have somoe gastrointestinal illness. Your medical doctor should be able to evaluate you. If you get your period, you are not pregnant. Often, during pregnancy, you can have bleeding for various reasons, but this bleeding is not the same as your regular period and does not occur at the same time or last as long. Bleeding during pregnancy may be caused by abnormalities of the placenta or can be "old" blood from the uterus. If you get your period and have a negative pregnancy test, you are definitely not pregnant.
