Blood Types & Pregnancy: Compatibility and Risks

Sir, my blood group is o + while that of my girlfriend is a +. Does this pose a risk with regard to pregnancy or health of the child? Does the blood group or rh factor impact pregnancy or delivery in any way? Thank you very much for your help.

If you were Rh Negative and your girlfriend was Rh Positive, that would pose a threat to the pregnancy and subsequent pregnancies. However, since you are both Rh positive, there is no danger. The baby will either have O positive blood or A positive blood. Don't worry. Blood type has absolutely no effect on delivery.
