Clomid Dosage & Timing: Optimizing Follicle Development & Safety

Does taking clomid cd 2-6 lead to better follicles development? Or just more follicles. How common is it to have adverse affects on the uterine lining with 100mg. I am on clomid for short luteal phase 9-10 days. I have 2 children. I am 28 years. thank you in advance.

Comid works on the hypothalamus to interfere with the negative feedback mechanism towards FSH production in the anterior pituitary gland. This increases the FSH production, which increases the probability of more follicle development, in turn increasing the probability of ovulation. The Clomid is usually taken on cycle day #5,6,7,8, and 9 and usually ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. A dosage of 100 is quite safe and does not have any adverse effects on the uterine lining.Hopefully, your luteal phase will elongate. I even use 150mg of Clomid, but do not continue Clomid longer than 6 months if no success is achieved.
