QuestionI am 23 years old and had 3 c-sections.my children are 2 years apart. I am now pregnant again which would make another two year difference. Is it alright to go through with this pregnancy? How much of a risk am i in? All of my incsion marks are in the same spot, right on the panty line.
AnswerHaving had three cesarean sections is not a contraindication to becoming pregnant again. YOu can safely carry a pregnancy to term, as long as you had no problems during the pregnancy (Hypertension, diabetes, etc). However, if you have had three cesarean sections, you will have to have another cesarean section. I would discuss it with your doctor and, especially, discuss any problems that occurred during the operation itself, to see if there is any factor in your pregnancy that would causwe you to be a high risk patient.
