Prometrium & Early Pregnancy Symptoms: What to Expect

Question
I've been taking 400mg. of Prometrium since 7 dpo.  I'm currently at 15 dpo (have tested neg. this morning with a First Response hpt).

I have experienced very odd symptoms this month like mild (painless) cramps at 9 dpo and 12 dpo (this has never occurred before my period starts).  I have also been experiencing a constant metallic taste to some foods, as well as increased smell, breast pain, fatigue, and high temps.

I know there's still a possibility 15 dpo is still to early for testing, but I'm considering stopping the Prometrium because it may be giving me false pg symptoms and delaying my period.

Are these symptoms common with progesterone supplementation?  By the way, I tasted the metal mouth before I started the Prometrium.

If it turns out I'm not pregnant, is a metallic taste in one's mouth a common pms symptom?

Thank you for your time

Answer
Prometrium is not giving you false pregnancy symtoms, nor will it delay your period. There are many causes for a metal taste in your mouth. Metallic taste is not a symptom of PMS. Be patient. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your next period, even if you take a first response HPT. Do not stop the Prometrium.
