Understanding Brown Cervical Mucus: Causes & What to Expect

Dear Amy,

I notived some brown cervical mucus this morning.  I am due for my period on 6/3.  Is this normal?  I did not have sex in the last three months so I would doubt it's implantation bleeding.  I just never noticed it before.

It could just be the start of your period.  If you haven't had sex in the past three months, than you couldn't be pregnant.  Sometimes, our bodies just react wierdly to hormones.  This may be the way your period is going to start this time.  I hope this helps!  I don't think it is anything to worry about.
