QuestionJune 7-LMP
Two questions I need clarification on:
Is it possible for pre-ejaculatory fluids to contain sperm? Can pre-ejaculatory fluids cause pregnancy?
Sperm live about 4-5 days correct? Or is this just the amount of time they can still be found, but are not viable.
THANKS FOR THE CLARIFICATION.
AnswerSperrm remain viable (with the ability to fertilize an egg) for 12-24 hours, although they may be found in the reproductive for up to 5 days. An egg can remain viable for 24-48 hours. There are around 3 million sperm in a full ejaculation. However there are around 3000,000 sperm at the tip of the penis prior to ejaculation. If the penis is in the vagina and he tries to withdraw prior to intercourss, this "pre-ejacultory fluid) can be milked into the vagina while he is withdrawing. If it is at the correct time of month (ovulation), the woman can conceive. (All you needc is one sperm, actually).
