Recurring UTI Concerns: What to Expect During Pregnancy

my lmp was 03/21/06 i am on my second uti in 4 weeks.  the doctor has me on antibiotics do you think he should be doing something different.  Is there anything to help me in not getting this again.  Also how does this affect the pregnancy.  Thanks for your help

What antibiotic are you taken? There is nothing to do but to take antibiotics. Did you have a culture and sensitivity of your urine? Tghe antibiotics will not affect the pregnancy. Repeat the culture. if there is over 100,000 bacteria in the culture, it is a UTI. If there is less than 100,000 coonies of bacteria, you do not have a UTI and do not have to be treated.
