Excess Facial Hair Growth: Causes, Concerns & What to Do

Hi,
I am a 31 y/o female who has always had a number of stray hairs here and there on my face, chin, nipples. However of late I have noticed an increased number of hairs on my chin (there were perhaps 3-5 at one time, now I would say there are approx 15) and they appear to be growing aggresively. I am particularly concerned b/c I know that excess hair can be a sign of fertility problems. Wanted to get your opinion on this issue- should I be concerned? If so, what should I do? Thanks.

Ocasional stray hairs on your skin are harmless. If you get lots of hair (hirsuitism), you can use dipilatory, or hydrolysis, or even can shave them. They will not cause infertility.however they can be a sign of PCOS. I would see your doctor or, perhaps, an endocrinologist.
