Best Hair Color for Red Undertones & White Hair - Expert Advice

Hi Nirvana,

I had red hair when I was young.  It still has red tones, but it's gotten much darker. I also have quite a few white hairs, mostly on the top of my head.  I use Revlon Strawberry Blond, which gives good results on the darker areas but gives the white hairs a pinkish cast. How can I prevent that, yet still bring out the natural red tones? Thank you for your help.

Hi! So strawberry blonde dyes DO tend to give off a pink tint to grey or white hairs. To prevent this, i would suggest dying the white hairs (if possible, if not then dye the whole head) a shade or two lighter then the desired shade. Then go on into the dying process. Or if you want to experiment *why* the dye is setting a pink tone. You could leave the dye on a little longer then instructed.
