Early Pregnancy Ultrasound: No Heartbeat at 5 Weeks & 6 Days - What Does It Mean?

According to my LMP, today makes me 5w6d pregnant. I had blood drawn twice last week to ensure my levels are doubling (they are). This morning I had a abdominal and vaginal ultrasound. With both they were able to see a gestational sac and a yolk sac but they were not able to see a heartbeat yet or an embryo. My doctor said she isn't worried and that my ovulation may have been off but I am still worried.. I need advice and help! Thank you!!

I would agree with your doctor. If you were 6-7 weeks past LMP date and these were the only findings, I would be slightly more concerned. But with you still being in your 5th week, the possibility of your ovulation date being a few days later than anticipated is fairly likely and since there was a fetal pole, the findings are not discouraging in any way at this point.
