Milky Vaginal Discharge: Causes, Symptoms & When to See a Doctor

Question
I have a milky white liquid coming from my vagina, Is this bad? What should I do about it?

Answer
Dear Ashley

I cannot give you firm answer. There are many data that should be included to give an answer...such as your age...color..is it white or may be greenish or yellowish...is there any odor to this liquid..fishy?..what is its nature whether fluid or sticky..are u still having menses or not?

However, if it is white without odor and you are in your childbearing age,I can assume this can be a candida infection which is a type of fungal infection which is easy to treat.

You should consult your gynecologist and set an appointment to be examined. There is a wide variety of infections and a proper diagnosis can only be made by accurate examination and investigations if needed.

If proved to be candida infectio, remember to control your blood sugar level if you are diabetic. Candida flourishes if diabetes is not controlled. Also be awarethat some infections are mixed and your sexual partner may need a treatment.

Best of luck
