Diarrhea During Pregnancy: Causes, Risks & What to Do

I'm 20 weeks pregnant. Lately my bowels have been normal. But just randomly today I had diarrhea all day today. Like really bad. I also have somewhat of a cold. Does this mean my baby is really sick? Does it affect my baby in any bad way if so?

You could very well be having an encounter with a stomach bug. The most important thing to remember is that hydration is key. Dehydration in an expecting mother can cause premature labor and fetal distress. Drink plenty of fluids and be sure to try to eat as regularly as you can handle eating.
