Understanding Labor Failures and Options for Future Pregnancy

Question
I am 33, had my 1st child in 1997 and a 2nd in 2005. Both by C-Section, due to failure to progress in labor, water bags never broke and allot of pain in my lower back. Because I was scared in my second pregnancy I had a tubal ligation. I never got to get more information as to why I could not have vaginal deliveries. I am into a new relationship and my partner and I are thinking of another child but have the following questions.
1. Can I un do the tubal ligation? (I believe it was tied)
2. What are the chances of a 3rd C-section?
3. Why couldn't I have a vaginal delivery in the previous pregnancies?

Thank you and look forward to your answer's.

Answer
Dear Mary

here are the answers for your questions:

1- Yes you can have a surgery to untie your tube but chances for success is 50% or less.
2-Your next delivery will be a Cesarean. The scar in your uterus from previous surgery makes uterus liable to rupture with vaginal delivery.
3-The only 1 who can answer this question is the doctor who delivered you.

Best of luck
