Questioni am 31 weeks pregnant and i have been suffering with these gas like pain in my upper middle stomach. i have taken just about all the over the counter gas meds like: gas-x, beano, pepdo, tums, etc. this has been going on for about 4 months and the meds isn't working anymore but the pain is getting worst. i don't know what is triggering it i try to watch what I'm eating but today i haven't eaten anything because I'm afraid it would get even worst. what should i take or do?

AnswerHi Kim,
The foods most likely to cause gas are beans, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, and asparagus. You may also have trouble with onions, pears, sodas and fruit drinks. Sometimes pasta and potatoes can cause gas for some people. If you're lactose intolerant you will find that dairy products give you gas.
Don't eat big meals. Instead, eat several small meals throughout the day. Take your time when eating. Sit up while you're eating or drinking, even if you're just having a small snack. Don't chew gum or suck on hard candies. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, and avoid any tightness around your waist and tummy. Exercise.
If none of this helps, visit your doctor for medication.
