Prempro Dosage & Hot Flash Management After Hysterectomy

I have had my internal plumbing removed, due to cysts that proved to be cancerous.  My doctor has placed me on Prempro .625/2.5 and I am wondering if this dose is to low?  I am still having hot flashes/flushes, and still wake up drenched in sweat.  My moods have been all over the map, and I am wondering if I should be on something stronger.

The usual starting dose for Prempro is one 0.3 mg/1.5 mg tablet once a day. If this dose proves insufficient, your doctor may increase the dose to one 0.625 mg/0.25 or 0.5 mg tablet once a day. So, actually your dose is right up there. I would encourage you to discuss your symptoms with your doctor and see how comfortable he/she is with the little bit of wiggle room that is left and/or if there is another option that they may have in mind for you to alleviate your symptoms further.
