Post-Abortion Period & Fertility: What to Expect

I had an abortion 6 weeks ago, i was six weeks pregnant am not on birth control an i don't use any protection i actually want to get pregnant now, when do you think it will happen, or will i get my period first?

Dear Lisa - you may or may not get your period before getting pregnant.  You can go ahead and try right away - there is no problem with this.  However, sometimes when you are trying to get pregnant it doesn't happen right away - not because of the abortion - but just because the body takes its own time.  So, be patient and good luck!  Think of your experience with the abortion in a positive light - it helped you to make your decision and now you know this is really what you want to do.
