Early Pregnancy Bleeding & Concerns: What Could It Mean?

Hi I'm about 5 weeks pregnant I just found about 2 days ok. I thought my period was about to come on because I had cramps and period like symptoms. Now that I know that I'm pregnant my cramps are still there and I started to bleed bright red when I wipe. But its only there when inwipe as for now. It's not going on te pad. I went to the E.R twice they told me I have a yeast infection that might cause te bleeding. I'm so scared an you please tell me what's going on. This is my first pregnancy. Also there is no clots or tissue

There could be many reasons for the bleeding when you wipe. It could be due to haemorrhoids or a yeast infection. It could also be due to miscarriage although from what you describe it does not look like a possible miscarriage. Therefore here is what you should do.

1. Take plenty of fluids to loosen the stools
2. Do not strain in the toilet.
3. You may use a mild laxative

The bleeding should stop in a couple of days. If it does not then you may benefit from a consultation with a gynecologist.

As far as your cramps go, it is normal to have some mild cramping in early pregnancy. So that should not be so much of a worry.
