Irregular Periods After Childbirth: Causes & What to Do

I am 30 yrs female i have 2 yrs daughter. After her birth my periods have become irregular. now recently i have left feeding her. I got my Last periods on 15 august 2011, before my periods were getting delayed by only 5 to 10 days but now it has become 18 days. last month i consulted dr, and she gave me medicine to get my periods as i was not pregnent.after taking that medicine i got my periods on 15 aug 2011 now again my periods got delayed by 20 days this time i have nausia n vomiting in morning n late evening, Also i have little discomfort and pain in my abdomen.
What should i do???

AnswerFirstly we need to rule out pregnancy. Therefore get hold of a pregnancy kit and confirm if you are pregnant or not. If you are not pregnant you can take progesterone for five days and then stop. You should get your periods in a few days. This is the same medicine which your doctor would have given you last time.
After childbirth it is possible for women to develop various abnormalities in their periods. Most will become alright with time.
