Understanding PCOS, Ectopic Pregnancy & Fallopian Tube Removal - Expert Advice

Question
I'm 24 years old. two years ago i have a 10 cm cyst and my left fallopian tube removed. my gyno is also the dr. who did my surgery and the head of the office he works at. i trust him and he is a great doctor. i had one question though. when he removed it he said it was wrapped around my fallopian tube which was a shock bc we thought it was on my ovary. he said from the way the cyst was it looks like it was probably a past ectopic pregnancy. i can not seem to find anything like it when i look online and was curious if that is something that could really happen. i did think i was pregnant about 6 years ago. i really hope you can answer my question.

I have never heard about such a thing that an ectopic would form a cyst. If you ever had ectopic you would have complained of either severe pain or bleeding or both. Ectopic pregnancy usually starts silent but all of a sudden causes severe pain and if not dealt with accordingly can be fatal.

However; in some cases depending on where the sac started in the ovary and how large it goes, it may take the tube with it and becomes amalgamated with the tube that they are hardly separable. Definitely a 10 cm cyct is a big one and such occurrence is very likely.
