Exercise During Pregnancy: Insanity Workout Safety & Guidelines

Hi Helene!

Thanks for reading my question. I just found out I'm pregnant with my second child. I am in week 5.  A month ago I started working out. I do the Insanity workout from beach body. I feel great but as it is high impact I would like to know if I can continue doing it throughout the first & second trimesters. I used to run before getting pregnant with my first.

You can most likely continue with this program for another 8 to 10 weeks. Then you should switch to low/non impact exercise for your cardio, and stop doing all ab exercises that lift the upper body off the floor or against the force of gravity, to prevent diastasis recti.
