Understanding Infertility, Prolactinomas, and Perimenopause at 41

Question
Thank you in advance for your time.

I am 41,married 23 years,no children.
I was diagnosed in 1995 w/a Prolactinoma (very small).
In 2005 I miscarried my first baby (8 weeks, no fetal pole)
OBGYN assumes that my Prolactinoma caused infertility and first (and only) conception due to Anovulation and/or Luteal Phase Defect.
I tried meds for the tumor (early on) but they me sick.  I now know that if I ever conceive again, I should take progesterone suppliments to sustain the pregnancy.
My concern is that I have not have a regular cycle in 103 days.  I have every symptom of menopause that is listed including hot flashes, insomnia, frequent urination, vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, etc. Is there anything I can do/take to bring back my opportunity to conceive? My husband and I would very much like to have a baby.

Answer
Hello,

There are many medications you could try to make sure you ovulatate and correct the luteal phase defect. You will likely need to see a reproductive endoncrinologist who can evaluate your situation and provide a treatment plan to help you conceive.  Good luck.
