Clomiphene Citrate & Follicle Size: Understanding Your Fertility Journey

When I started to try 'Clomiphene Citrate" on APR 2009,I took 100mg every day from days 5-9 and on day 13 went in to check the size of follicle. I only had one follicle at 20mm on my left ovary and three follicle at 12-16mm on the right.

Doctor said that 20mm is considered mature, & want me to take the injection. My hubby & i had unprotected sex on the following few days, but still I couldn't be conceived.

Is that any problem on it ?

Hello,

No problems, but the dosage probably needs to be increased a bit.  The goal is to get 3 follicles per cycle that are 16 mm or larger.  Please keep in mind that because ovulation induction is a natural procedure, it can take up to 6 months to get pregnant.
