QuestionDoes an HCG shot to trigger ovulation make menstrual cramps more intense?
I'm experiencing cramps 7 DPO that are more intense than usual, and several
days earlier than my menstrual cramps typically start. We've been TTC for 17
months.
AnswerHello K from the U.S.,
The HCG shot should not change the quality of the menstrual cramps. It only stays in your system for 3-7 days. The most likely cause of your cramping is from ovulation itself. Usually a corpus luteum cyst will form and sometimes rupture, leading to pelvic cramping.
